As they cut her from the wreck

If the sun was to set on my life today,

Would I be ready to meet Jesus this way?

If the clouds rolled back and my Lord did appear,

Would I cry “Saviour”, or just hide out of fear?

If death and destruction were to loom overhead,

Would I panic for fear, or cry “Jesus” instead?

If persecution and scorn were to come my way,

Would I stand faithful to Jesus today?

Lord, do I love you enough to live wholly for you,

Or do I bring self into all that I do?

Do I talk of my Saviour and how he came to die,

Or when I’m with friends do I act shy?
