We all Need a Friend
We all need a friend,
someone to care.
We all need to know, that someone is there.
There in the good, and in the bad,
When we’re happy, excited, upset or sad.
We all need a friend with whom we can share,
Someone to talk to in times of despair.
Someone to guide us, to help see us through,
Someone we know we can always talk to.
A friend who’s loyal, kind and true.
Someone to cheer us, when we are blue.
Someone to brighten up our day.
Someone to head us in the right way.
Jesus is a friend on whom to depend,
His loyal friendship has no end.
He’ll be there to guide you all the way,
By your side He’s willing to stay.
He doesn’t leave when the going’s tough,
Instead He helps you when it’s rough.
You can tell Him things that trouble you,
Or just share your dreams, what you hope to do.
He won’t even say
you’re stupid, silly or mad.
He won’t do anything to make you upset or sad.
He’ll just give you unconditional love,
The kind you only get from heaven above.
